Final Blog

The things that are important to me are my family and friends. For most of them I would give up anything. I get very close to my friends, especially my best friends. It is going to be sad that most of them will be going away to college and I will not be able to see them for a while.
The other thing is family. I do not think I would have gotten anywhere without my mother. She is the one that has been pushing me the whole time through school and even in soccer. I was proud to make her happy when I handed her every single accptance letter from all the colleges I applied to. She is brutally honest and will tell me how it is, even if I do not agree with her most of the time. My mother has been great to me and I want to make her the proudest mother in the whole world.
The one thing that I do not have yet but is important to me is my future. I am going to keep pushing myself until I succeed. I have always told myself that failure is not an option and is not taken lightly at anytime. I would like to make it clear that I would not be this ambitious without my family and friends. I want to be able to share my success in the future with those who have been there for me through it all. I take a look back in the past and the memories I have are everyone telling me to keep pushing yourself and when you think you have gone as far as you can, you are only half way there.
Through my high school career, I did not find my grades to be of much importance. I found that as long as I got into all the schools I wanted to, I would be fine. Now that I am coming out of high school, I feel it is important to buckle down and start working hard. This is the final level of school for me and I do not want to ruin anything. I will be playing soccer at the college I will be attending, I hope to make the team and possibly be a starter. Soccer is important to me, but I am the type of person that thinks with the glass half full. If I do not make this team, it may benefit me in my grades in college. College should be a great experience and I hope to make new friends that will keep my mind off the ones I miss. Don't get me wrong, I will never forget the ones I leave behind, including you Mr. Mannion, I am going to miss you!

Courage

When ever I hear the word courage, I really have to stop and think about what it actually is. I tend to get confused about its real definition because I think of courage as a word that has many definitions and meanings. I am actually glad that there is a blog about courage because now I get to express what I feel that courage is all about. And maybe and I can finally figure out what courage is. So I will begin to explain what courage is, in my honest opinion.
Is courage chasing a bank robber down the street until he is caught? To be honest, I do not believe that this is a courageous act. You are putting yourself in danger to catch a criminal just so you can become a local hero. If he stole your money and you wanted to get it back, I can consider that courageous because you have a reason to chase him down. Other than that, this act wouldn't fall under the category of courage. Is courage shooting down an enemy plane from a hideout on a mountaintop? Now this act, in my opinion, is very courageous. I believe this because you must be very talented to shoot down a plane like that and you must have tons of courage to accomplish something like that. There are many things that people consider courageous in their eyes, but others may find it to be the opposite. These two acts fall under that category because they can go either way. It is just the way people look at it.
Courage can be other things as well. A physically challenged person making her way down the street is a courageous act in my opinion. Some people are very embarrassed to have a disability and they tend to hideout from others so they are not made fun of. It hurts to say this, but people sometimes do make fun of others who have disabilities. I think it is very wrong for them to do that because it was not the persons choice to be physically challenged. Is courage a father working a twelve hour day in a horrible job to pay the rent and feed his children? This is one of the most courageous things you could ever do in my opinion. You are doing whatever you can to put food on the table for the one's that you love. You would rather not work all day, but you have too in order to survive. And the fact that the job is horrible shows your courage right there. It is a horrible job and most likely doesn't pay that much. But you keep on working so you can feed your children and pay rent. There's nothing more courageous than that.
A courageous person does not have to just be an adult. There are kids out there that have so much courage. You may even find a child who is more courageous than an adult. Animals are also courageous. The example of the father working twelve hours a day falls in the same category as an animal. The mother/father animal has to go out there and find food for it's babies so they can survive. So the answer to the question is that anybody can have courage.
Courage is when you show no fear, and are willing to put others first so that things are made right. Courage permits one to face danger and difficulties without fear. Do I know anyone in my life whom I'd define as courageous? In my opinion, the most courageous people in this world are people in the military. They show no fear and risk their lives for our country to make things right. I can't see what would top that, and I am pretty sure that others agree with me.

Advice to a Younger me

Giving advice to myself two or three years ago I think is tough. to do because of how much I enjoyed my life over the last few years, and I do not think there is anything I regret doing or regret not doing. I mean I feel like I have not learned that much that would change things in my life. I have never made a decision in the last few years that I really had to think about. I am a safe kind of guy and I do not really like to change things and I like to keep things the same and not change the status quo. The one thing I know I would tell myself is that freshmen year make sure that I buy lunch everyday. My freshmen I had free lunch the entire time and I HAD NO IDEA. I found out THE LAST DAY OF SCHOOL. I was devastated when I found out. I didn't buy lunch freshmen year because in 8th grade I bought lunch once and they charged me for two some reason and it got me really upset and I didn't since that. So me having free lunch my freshmen year and knowing it would have been the greatest thing ever.
With the social groups I think that I have made the right choices. I really do not care who you are I have no problem being your friend. Popularity does not mean anything to me so I think I made the right choices and that I would just tell myself to keep doing what your doing. Nothing traumatic has happened in my life at this point so there is no advice that I would have o get to myself except just to be ready because at any moment anything can happen. Academically though I would have to give a lot of advice like what classes to take and which one to take, espically my senior year because I made many mistakes. But the main advice I would have to give would be just to make sure that I do all of my work that I am assigned on time because I have a big problem with getting my work in and getting it done on time.
The other advice I would give myself would have to do with sports. I would tell myself to become goalie my freshmen year instead of playing the field because of how much less running I would have to do and how much more fun soccer would have done. I also would have told myself to play basketball. Even though I am not that good at it, it is still a lot of fun and I know I would have a blast playing it. And because we did not have volleyball my freshmen year I would have told myself to do tennis because now I really like everyone on the team and I know I would of have playing that as well.
Also I would have done the amazing race every year of high school and not just this year.

Wild Card #2 Volleyball

Volleyball came into my life my Sophomore year of high school. Mr. P was very kind and was able to form a volleyball team for the school. The first year during tryouts my physical was some how not cleared even though I played soccer in the fall. So i forced to sit out the first wee of tryouts. I did not think this would jepordise my chances of making the team, but varsity yes. I only tried out for three days, but I still made the team just liked everyone else who tried out. My name was not on the varsity roster, but I was told I would play JV and sit bench for Varsity. I didn't play at all that year for varsity, I came close to it, but never did. We went 2-8 shockingly that is a good record for a teams first year.
Then last year came and it was a shock to everyone what happened. We lost two starters from the prior year, but we didn't know we would be good, because those to players we lost were are best ones. I became a starter and we have a very young roster with only two seniors on the team. Our conference was the worst conference in the shore last year so beating Barneget and Lacey twice wasn't really hard. Mon Don came close  to beating us once last year but we still were able to take them out both times. Manchester was ranked in the top 5 of the shore in the beginning of the year and beating them twice was not going to be easy, beating them once was not going to be easy. The year before this they embarrassed us and we thought they were going to do the same thing. Some how they didn't. The first time we played them it was on their court and we managed to win the first two games of three and that was it. They went by really quickly, and I didn't know we were winning until game point both matches. The second time we played them they were 6-1 in the conference and we were 7-0. So we already won it but they had a chance to as well. We lost the first match but won the last two. So we finished 8-0 in the conference and 10-6 overall.
This year finally came along. We only lost two players and it wouldn't be hard to replace them. Unfortunately we had to players quit before the season and that hurt us even more. Luckily one player wasn't a starter but he was still good have, and we replaced the other with a basketball player who came out this year. Right now we are 5-1 in the conference tied with Lacey. But there is still two weeks left and anything can happen. Hopefully we win the rest of our games and the loose one giving us solo champions of A Central once again.

Forgiveness

Forgiveness is something that is very hard to gain, as well as give. In certain situations, you could be a person who is asking for forgiveness when you have done something wrong. You could also be the person who has to decide whether or not to forgive that person who has done wrong to you. So as you can see, there are two parts too forgiveness. I feel that forgiveness is a big thing in our lives. We all have fallen under the two parts of forgiveness and believe me, it is not fun at all. We all make mistakes, and the topic of forgiveness comes up. It sucks but in reality, we have to face it when we really do not want to at all.
Should forgiveness be practiced often or once in a while? Well in my honest opinion, forgiveness is different in every single person's life. You could have it every day in your life, or could have it once in a while. It all depends on the mistakes you make in your life or others have made to you. I believe that you should have forgiveness in your life, but you need to be smart with it and not let it affect you down the road. Forgiveness is usually involved with your family, friends and your boyfriend or girlfriend. There should be less forgiveness in my opinion, but not everyone is perfect.
There has been plenty of times in my life where I have practiced forgiveness. I have fallen under both parts of it and I totally agree that it bites the big one. There is the saying out there that many people follow. It is the term forgive and forget. I, along with many others, have followed this rule, but I can say that it has come back to bite me. For example, when a friend or someone I have feelings for betrays me or does something behind my back, I get mad but I quickly forgive them. That is good sometimes, but this allows them to walk all over me because they know I am so vulnerable about it. It makes me look bad because it makes me look like an idiot. I need to man up and take control when someone does something bad to me. Even though I truly am a forgiving person, I need to be more strict about it because it will better myself.
There has also been times where I have fallen under the category for asking for forgiveness. More times than most, I am granted forgiveness. But there are also times where people hold it to me down the line. I think if I did what others have done to me, that would totally work because it will not make you want to betray a person like that every again. People can do or same some pretty mean things, but I think that is because they are caught in the heat of the moment. There has been times where I have said mean things to others and others have said mean things to me. But we realize after that they truly didn't mean it and they are sorry about it.
The only situation where I believe forgiveness is not acceptable is when it comes to cheating or stealing. Once you do one of these things, you're beat in my eyes. Once a cheater or stealer, always a cheater or stealer. There are people out there who forgive everyone for everything. Like I said before, I usually am this type of person, and it is good sometimes but other times it is not good at all. You can't allow someone to walk all over you, you need to take a stand sometimes. You need to forgive them sometimes, and give them a second chance. But you can't allow them to keep doing the same thing over and over again and you forgive ever single time. That doesn't look good on your part. When you forgive everyone for everything yes that is the wise and mature thing to do, but that is all it is. You have to look at it and see what is going to happen when you get older so you don't make the mistakes that will affect you in the long run.

Unfinished Business

I do not feel like there is that much unfinished business left in my high school career. I have gave up really on everything and I do not care much for these next two much and I will just be doing what I need to do to pass gym and English so that I can graduate. I do have things that I would like to accomplish, but I really just do not care any more. And I do not set goals in the beginning of the year so that when it is the end of the year and I would not achieve my goal I am not disappointed at all.
If I could start this year over I would without a hesitation. But it would have to start with last year so that i could choose different classes to make my senior year much more relaxed and easier for myself.  But for your class though I would have to change a lot of things. I really made this year a lot harder for myself by not reading any of the books, so I would make sure that I would read them so I would do better on the quartiles and all of the papers we have written. The last marking period I started off bad by doing the first three blogs really late. I would of made sure that I did all of the blogs on time to get a better grade. I would like to change that but the way this marking period started it might not happen. I am not sure why I do not do them they are actually really easy, but I guess I am to lazy to them.
I do not look forward to the future. I like to live in the here and now and try not to worry about lays ahead of me. It is really scary just thinking about it. So for future goals I do not have any. If I focus to much on my future my present life will not be as good as it could be, therefore my future would be ruined. And for me being ready for life after high school is not looking good either. High school in my opionion does really nothing to prepare you for the future only to help you. So I am really going to have to wing it and do my best in order to be really for what I will see in a few months. Maybe if I am lucky I will win the lottery and I will not have to worry about any thing and will not have to work. But I am not trying to focus on my future because I am really not looking forward to it at all.

Being Mr. Mannion Super Powers Blog

Having super powers is dreamt by every human being. After seeing movies or reading comics, everyone would want to have their own super powers for what ever reason. Everyone wanted to have that secret identity by day until when crime came around to save the world. Or just to be the the hero in the major city which everyone looked up to and loved and wanted to be.
Being able to have super powers is just one of those things that always fascinate people, and it really fascinates me. Always as a kid I would wish to have super powers whether it was on my birthday cake, or shooting star or anything else you could possibly make wishes on. I would always hope that they would come true and I would be a hero in the city which I reside in.
So with that all being said, If you could have one super power what would it be? Or would you want to have more than one power like superman? What would you do with those super powers? Would you use those powers for good or evil? Also it seems every superhero has a coo name, so what would you want your name to be?

Death

Death is probably one of the most tragic things than can occur in one's life. Quite frankly, it is one of the hardest things to understand. When a loved one or someone you know passes, the question most frequently asked is why? Why did it have to happen to this person? Why did it have to happen to someone I loved? Why them? All these questions are asked and sometimes, no one knows the real truth. I am still young and death hasn't affected my life that much yet. But when they day comes where someone real close to me passes, I really do not know how I am going to handle it.
Death can happen for many types of reasons. I believe that god decides when it is your time because that is how I was brought up in life. I also believe that there is a purpose behind a person's death and that god decides if it is your time at the exact moment or not. You can face a near death experience, but you get through it because that isn't the way you are supposed to go out on. There are so many people who live on this earth. I do not know the correct number to be exact, but death is not nature's way of making room for more people on the earth. There is plenty of room on earth, so that is not true at all.
I believe that there is life after death. You rather go to heaven or hell, based on how you spent your life in the real world. Your soul is still on earth visiting your loved ones and watching over them as well. Once your soul does what it needs, it finally passes over and is in heaven completely. Why do I think this? Because this is how I was taught, and my parents have provided me with real life stories that make me believe this is all true.  Im really not sure whether or not you are reincarnated or not, but I can see it being true. I think you have to wait a certain amount of time though. You have to wait however long you spent time on earth to be reincarnated. If you died at age 85, in 85 years you will be reincarnated.
I will never know the truth until it is my time to go. Stories could and have convinced me, but I am still not one hundred percent if they are true. I know that my family, and even me, have had ghosts of people we have known come back and visit us. My parents have experienced it the most just because they are open about it and are not afraid. If you are scared and not open, you will never experience it. I wish I could live forever, but that will never happen. But I am eager to see what lies ahead after it is my time to go, just so I can find out the real truth.

My Room

I do agree with the saying that a person’s room is a reflection of who he or she is. It is their room and they make it how they want it, and I do not see how it does not reflect how that person is. For me though I do not think that it really reflects me that much. I barely decorated with anything so it just has no flare to it. It is really plain, but it does not bother me that much even though I would much rather have the coolest room in the world.I have the biggest room and my house, and I have nothing in it. I have my bed and the two dressers which hold my clothing. My room is almost twice as big as my older brother and he has double the amount of items in his room. His walls are covered in posters and you cannot even tell what color the walls in his room are. His room really shows the type of person he is and really reflects him. I only have one poster hanging in my room, and I do no think it counts as a poster though. It is a big puzzle of The Lion King that was glued together and put in a frame that my sister made when she was younger. I thought it was the coolest thing ever and I needed to be in my room. And I do not think that the poster shows anything about my personality, it just shows that I like the movie The Lion King.
One of things that does shows the type of person I am is all of the trophies and sporting equip that is in my room. It shows that I love sports and that I am an athlete. I'll play any type of sport whenever I want. Another thing in my room that shows who I am is the collection of books I have in my closet. I do not have a lot but the types of books they are show part of my personality. I have the seven Harry Potter books, the Hunger Games trilogy, and the five Percy Jackson books. These books show that I like fantasy books and that though things really interest me.
For my room being messy or clean it really is not either. I guess if I would have to choose one it would be a little messier than cleaner. When I was little it was always clean, but as I got older i got much lazier so i started to care less for a room that I will be in no more then 10 hrs a day. I never make my bed because I think it is completely pointless and it now takes me much longer to put my clothes away then it used to. I just throw them on the floor and a couple of days later when I feel like putting them away, I do. This does not really say much, but just that I have become a lot lazier since I have grew up.

My Curriculum

First off if I could design a curriculum for students who are my age, that would be pretty cool. I think that all high school students need to take the basic subjects that are involved in school. This includes mathematics, english, science, history and gym. These five subjects you will need in your life even after high school, so they should be considered the top priority and must be taught. Now after these five subjects, what's next? Well in my opinion, you should have to take a class that includes hands on activity because this also will help you in the future. This includes classes like wood shop, photography class, art, and graphic arts. These classes are fun and also teach you a different way to learn.
Classes are broken down into advanced placement, honors, A track and B track. I agree and say that it should remain that way. But all of these tracks of classes need to be consistent and make sure they cover the basic skills of learning. For english classes, they need to make sure that they read a great deal of books and have quizzes and tests on it so they can keep reading and improve. Also, there should be a great deal of writing going on, including essays about the topic they are covering in class as well as occasional papers that are about a topic of their choice. When it comes to math, there are many different forms of math. You have Geometry, Algebra one and two, Pre Calculus and Calculus. I feel they should be taught in that order because it prepares you for each one so you have a good understanding of them all. For science, you can choose your own class to take just as long as you take one. The choices are: Biology, Chemistry one and two, Physics and Marine Biology. They are teaching you different things involving science, and are all a good source of knowledge.
My day to day schedule would include 8 total periods, 6 total classes and lunch and gym. You would need to take an English class, a Math class, Science class, History class, and 2 electives of your choice. You can double up on a subject including science, history and math. I would prefer if you were to add an elective to your schedule like wood shop, photography class, art or graphic arts. They are hands on and good for your education. A full day of school would need to be 6 hours. The school day would start at 7:30 for homeroom that would last ten minutes, and first period would start at 7:40 and 8th period would end at 1:40. It is similar to our old schedule of school when we were freshman, where every period was 44 minutes.
When it comes to homework, it really depends on the type of teacher teaching the class. If you give less homework, you should teach a lot more in class. If you give a lot of homework, you are looking to see what the kids can do on their own. But you need to make sure that you check to see if the students have done their homework, and go over the answer so they get and and can use it to study. This helps me the most, and I know it will help others as well. This is the curriculum I would run, and I know it will work out  to everyone's liking. Students need to be challenged to get a real good education. My curriculum will do just that.

wisdom

The only way you can get or gain wisdom is if you are a wise person. To be wise you have to live your life and experience everything naturally. If you encounter a mistake you have made, you can't brush it off you have to face it and try and change it the best way you can. You cannot learn about wisdom and say that you have it, that is morally wrong. The only way you can gain wisdom is to go through life and experience it. I believe that this is the clear definition of wisdom, and it makes the most sense.
Getting straight A's on your report card is a very successful accomplishment. It takes some time and dedication to become smart and to keep your grades up. But personally, I don't think you have wisdom by getting straight A's. You could be a person who is very smart and get grades like this, but makes many mistakes in their life. Just because you are smart, doesn't clearly mean that you are wise. Like I said earlier, to be wise and have wisdom you have to go through life and experience many different types of things and fix all of your mistakes, not just brush them off. Yes graduating with a Ph.D is a successful thing, but it doesn't define being wise. The same goes for rising quickly to the top of a great corporation. The one that I do agree with on the other hand is having a photographic memory. That is one great thing to have because you can tell people about all of your memories and teach them lessons about life. I think that doing that you become wise and you gain wisdom.
You cannot take a test for wisdom. The only way to gain wisdom is to go through life and fix your problems. I must have said this over four times already in this blog, but that is the realest answer. Being wise and having wisdom is a really great quality in my eyes. You could be best friends with someone your whole life and you can think that they are wise. But sometimes, they truly aren't wise and do not have wisdom because of the way they have handled things in their life. I think that everyone should think about wisdom when they are handling problems in their life because if wisdom is on their mind, it will make them do the right thing and make the situation a whole lot better.
Wisdom is a feature of someone that always gives them a one up on a say "un-wise" person in a time of hardship. Wisdom is something that lets someone find a way to succeed when there is no visible path to success. but i think most of all wisdom is something that lets a person be a leader, and be someone that anyone can come to to be better

Jobs

A job is one of the most important thing in a person's life. It is how you make money so you can live in the world today. I know that some jobs pay more than others, but any job you have is so important no matter what type of job it is. If you don't work, you don't make money it is that simple. Personally, I have only had one real job in my life and that was at Dunkin Donuts. Even though I only made minimum wage plus tips, making money was a good feeling. I only worked for a little less than a year, but I made a good amount of money. That helped me pay for my car, and left me with some spending money. That is always good because I didn't have to beg my parents for money.
Some jobs are much more important than others. For example, being a doctor is way more important than me working at Shop Rite. And we all know that the doctor makes much more money than me because their job is one of the top jobs out there. Even though that is the case, it doesn't mean that my job is a bad job. Im making money and taking responsibility and there is nothing wrong with that at all. But yes, I agree that some jobs are important than others because some play different roles in society.
When I think about a job, the main thing on my mind is how much the job pays. Some jobs can involve a lot of work and little pay. Other jobs can involve little work and a lot of pay. That stinks for the people who have to do so much because their reward should be higher. But it is also awesome for the people who don't have to do anything because they get paid a lot. Personally, I think you should have a job that you enjoy and you shouldn't want to dread going to work everyday.
I think the top notch jobs are the most important jobs out there. This includes a doctor, lawyer, surgeon, and much more. Even though the governor is hating on teachers, I think being a teacher is a really important job and they should make more money in my opinion. They teach kids their education, how else would kids learn without teachers? They get no respect, and it is clearly noticeable. Personally, the more important your job is, should determine how much money you make. If you work hard and put a lot into your job, you should make a lot. Money is everything in some peoples life, but sometimes people have other things ahead of money. You need money to survive and live in your home, so having any type of job is key.
Overall, any type of job you have is fine by me. As long as you are making money, there is no negative in that. I just feel that the important jobs should make more money, because some jobs can save peoples lives. To solve more problems, I think they should increase minimum wage because people who make minimum wage work their butt off, and should be making more than they are. But I think that yes, the more important jobs should make more than others. Others jobs are not bad at all trust me on that. As long as you  have a job and are making money, there is no harm in that. Just stinks that you don't make as much as you really should.

Love

Love is a pretty strong word. Being in high school, kids are always saying oh I love this person so much they mean the world to me. Let's get real here. It isn't "real love",  it's just that you really like that person and you think that you are in love. Love cannot be defined at my age right now, but maybe it can when I get older. But being in high school and being in a relationship doesn't mean you are in love. The only way you could define love now at our age is if your family is involved. That is how I look at it.
In my honest opinion, love is a feeling that you have when you just want to be surrounded by it at all times and you want nothing else but that. Yes I can say that I have felt and thought that I was in love, but I know that deep down it isn't real. I do love my family with all my heart because I know they are the only real people in my life, and will always be there for me. I have friends in my life that I do love, but it is a different kind of love. Im not saying that it is a bad thing, but it isn't the real meaning of love.
Love is a single word with many different meanings. My father once told me this and I agree with him one hundred percent. It's a word that is thrown around a lot, and I think we should be smarter and only say it when you mean it. Personally, I do not think love has a look unless you can look at the one person you truly love and say yup that is what love looks like. What love feels like is a different story. It's a feeling that makes you all happy inside and gives you butterflies at all times no matter what. It is a feeling you get where you want to have it as long as you can, and nothing is better than that feeling. What it smells like, tastes like and sounds like I really do not know.  But I know when I find my true love one day, I will have no problem answering that question.
I think that if you go out and look for love, it will be much harder to get it. I believe that true love comes to you and it finds you. That is just the way I see it. It can be hard for people to find love, but it also can be pretty easy to find it as well. You have to set your mind to love and once you have it, do whatever you can to keep it because it really is a special feeling. Yes there may be times when you want to get rid of love, but that may be for reasons that you have personally. I know that I never want to get rid of love because I want to be married one day and be in love and grow old with that special person.
Overall, love is something that everyone wants one day in there life. You can't find love at a young age unless you are willing to keep that love forever. You see people who are married and say yes we were high school sweethearts. Now god bless them. There is nothing sweeter than love found in high school, but I find it to be rare. The people you can love for all your life is your family. So be careful with love because it can back fire on you, and just remember who will always love you at the end of the day.

Risks

When you are a kid, one thing that might be on your agenda is to take risks. Along with myself, my friends like to take risks because it is just something that you need to accomplish in your life. There can be many types of situations that involve taking risks, but that is perfectly fine. You just need to be careful and not get yourself hurt while you are taking these risks. Some people are defined as the risk takers and they love to do it all the time. There are also the people who want to take risks, but are too scared that they will get caught.
In my life, I have taken many risks. Most of them I have come out alive and didn't get caught. There are also times where I have taken risks and got caught and was embarrassed that it happened. I have an advantage when I am taking risks, I do not know what that advantage is, but I have succeeded more times than I have failed. I am not the type of person who takes risks every single day, but I put a of thought in when I plan to take a risk.
I wouldn't say that the risks I take are a really big risk, but they aren't too bad. The risk I take the most is leaving track practice early everyday so I can go to the gym and lift, rather than lift in our schools' weigh room where it is jammed pack with kids. My coach tells me everyday that he wants me to lift here at the school, but I take the risk to leave and go to the gym, trying to escape my coach from seeing me leave. I have never got caught yet, but I know that I need to be careful because I do not want to be too confident because I will let my guard down.
Other risks I take are texting in class, copying off of a friend during a test or quiz, driving with too many friends in the car, drinking when I am underage, lying to my friends about something I have done, lying to my parents and much more. Like I said before, most times I am successful when I take risks. But there are times where I do get myself caught and I am embarrassed when it happens. I would say that the risk I take the most where I do get caught is texting in class. I have to be sneaky with it and yes I do succeed sometimes, but I am usually not surprised when I am getting yelled at for texting.
I also get caught when I lie to my parents or lie to my friends. When I lie to my friends, it isn't something big but they usually catch me because they know me so well and know how I act. I think it is a big concern when I lie to my parents because they can do the most damage to me. They can prevent me from going out with my friends, they can take my car away, they can basically take away all of my freedom. I tend to lean away from lying to my parents, but there has been times where I have lied and took risks, and didn't get caught.
Overall, taking risks is something that I have done numerous times in my life. I have been more successful in accomplishing it than getting caught, but the consequences when getting caught sucks. I know that I have to be careful and think before I actually do it. I am still young, but doing it when you are young won't hurt you as much when you do it at an older age. You only live once, but don't let your guard down.

my state of the union address

America never really had a stable time period through out its history. It is really impossible for America or really any other country to not have problems or be perfect. I have never once in my life watched the state of the union address so I will try my best to make it sound real.
Things in this country, in my opinion have been the same for many years. To make changes for this country is a tough thing to do. To make changes that will benefit this country is extremely hard to do. One of the biggest problems we have today in our country is unemployment. It is at the highest it has ever been in our country. And it is not an easy thing to deal with. Providing jobs for everyone is hard. The only thing we can really do is just hope and believe that it will  get better. And if we try it might get a lot better for us. The only other thing I would suggest for unemployed people is maybe join the army or something. It is an easy way to get a job. Eduction may be the biggest problem we actually have. The kids of this country are our future and it seems each year our test numbers drop and our kids get dumber. Other countries our easily dominating us in the education race and we are continuing to fall behind them. We need to get these kids back on track and up to the reading level they are supposed to be it. If we continue to fall behind then we will soon behind many countries technologically.

The environment is continuing to create a big stir through out our country as well. Many people are very worried about global warming and I understand because of how the weather has been lately. I think it very well could be true and is a serious problem to think about. In order to do something about it we need to make sure that we stop polluting the earth. If we don't stop soon then are earth can very well be destroyed. And driving all these big cars which have huge gas tanks and use so much gas to pollute it. People really need to start thinking better about the environment instead of themselves.
This country is way to great to be as unsuccessful as we are. We have so many problems which can fix easily. All we have to do is fix all of the little things and we should have no problem bringing this country back to what it used to be. America is considered a world power because of status with war and we beat other countries in them. But in other ways we are not a world power. There are so many other countries which have so many edges over us like education, and technologically. If we want to be like we once need to be we need to start with the little things and slowly we will become like we once were.

Memories

The earliest memory I can remember is when I lived in Brick for the first five years of my life. It is one of few memories I have from Brick that did not bring me pain or sadness. It is a very odd memory that I have and it is not really a long one. It started with a dream or a nightmare I am not really sure on what I would consider it. I was left home alone, and while I was wondering through my house I saw my favorite stuffed animal Simba from the Lion King was alive. It was really strange. Then Simba started to chase me and it chased me into my room. When I was in my room I was surrounded by a whole bunch of lion stuffed animals. Then I woke up and went out to my living room where I found my brother watching tv. And that is all I can remember from it and it is my earliest memory. I think I was four or possibly even three. One other memory I have from when I was living in Brick was when these people that lived below us moved and they left their pet hamster. They did not leave it there on acciedent, they left it there on purpose. That hamster was evil. It took my whole neighborhood to try to catch it. My neighborhood only had three house on it but still three families trying to catch a hamster is a lot.
The other memories I have from Brick were from When I broke a bone. I know for a fact I was four when both of these happened. The first bone I was on my neighbors monkey bars and I did not really make far when I fell off and landed on a piece of wood breaking my right arm. Then a few weeks later I was home with my dad, I decided to go boogie boarding on my couch and some how I fell off breaking my right leg. So for a couole of weeks I had a cast on my right arm and right leg at the same time. Those are not the only memories that I have from living in Brick, but those are the memories that I can remember the clearest.
I moved to Bayville the summer before I started kindergarten. I have a lot of memories from my first couple of years from living in bayville then the past couple. Like k-2nd grade seems that I have the most memories from. 3-5th grade I seem to have less memories. Now from 6th grade on I obbiously have the most memories because that was when my brain started to devolp more and I became smarter. I wish that I could remember everything from when I was little. Being a kid was so much fun and I can barley remember it. There would be nothing I would want more then to remember my childhood or be able to re live it.

balance of nature

The balance of nature in my opinion is just the how nature is supposed to be. There is no other words to describe nature has one job and the balance of nature makes sure it happens. Nature is essential to life itself. Everything needs each other in order to surive. Living things need other living things in order to make nature seem important and for it to do its jobs. I think that nature has an easy way for it to balance itself out. There are so much things in this world that mother nature has to do and does.
When rain is needed to stop a drought it comes. Sure the rain could come much earlier to help the situation out but it comes when it needs to. Thats what makes nature so special. In the begining of time when the human civilization was having a difficult time surving under the circumstances nature helped us out a lot. Nature is the reason we are still around today. I mean look at the picture if this world had no living organisisms on it then there would be no need for mother nature. The weather would not be neccisary one bit. We have to be here on this earth for it to work out.
The food chain is also very essential to help nature out. Everything has to be here in order for everything to continue to work properly. The herbivores need to eat the grass. And the carnivores need to eat the herbivores. It is just the way things work out and it can't happen any other way unless bad things will start happening to the world. If we started too give meat to herbivores then it would mess up their life. There would be a possibility of the species changing or just evoling over time.
For humans it is the same. We need to continue the every day same things in order for nature to work out. The relationship needs oth side to cooperate in order for everything to work out in the end.

Time periods I would visit

Time. There are plenty of time peroids where people say are the best. No one can really say which time period was the best though because it is impossible to live through all of them. When you hear older people talk they always tell stories from the 60s or the 70s talikng about how crazy of a time period it was and much they enoyed it. They of course had woodstock and the hippies and all of the drugs that were done during those times. But i don't think that i would have a good time and would not want to visit it. People back then did really have a great time and a lot of fun but a lot of the things that they did were very dangerous and put their health at a risk all of the time.
There would be a couple of eras that I would like to visit. The first place i would like two go would at the end of world war two. Mostly just to see the them practicing the atomic bomb and see the explosion in person. Because they first time they ever used it they didn't really know what to expect. Anything really could of happened. They were not sure if it would just hit the ground and nothing would happen or if it would work and how big the explosion would be. I'll probaly won't be alive to see an atomic bomb used again so i would have to go then to see them use it.
The next time period I would like to see would have to be all of the 90s. The main reason would be to see all of the old tv shows that were on and to re-live some of my childhood. The next reason reason I would like to go back to see some of the nba's greatest play like magic, Larry Bird and of course Micheal Jordan. They all changed the game and it would of be cool to see them play. Also I would like to see Kobe and Shaq play together in their prime and dominate the league in the late 90s. I also think it would be cool to go back to the American Revolution. It was one of the biggest events that happened in our history of cousre because it was when we became a country. It would nice to see us win the war and defeat the british and see the declaration of independence signed by everyone. It would just be cool i think to go back there.
When ever I would get close to dying I would want to go back to the first day of kindergarten and just re-live my entire life K-12. I never really realized how much i enjoyed my childhood and how much i took it for granted. I wish i could just re-live my entire life over and over again and never die. I don't think that i would do anything different but just enjoy life and try to make the best of things. I don't really have that many regrets so i would be fine do the same things. I just think it would be awesome if i could do that.
