My Curriculum

First off if I could design a curriculum for students who are my age, that would be pretty cool. I think that all high school students need to take the basic subjects that are involved in school. This includes mathematics, english, science, history and gym. These five subjects you will need in your life even after high school, so they should be considered the top priority and must be taught. Now after these five subjects, what's next? Well in my opinion, you should have to take a class that includes hands on activity because this also will help you in the future. This includes classes like wood shop, photography class, art, and graphic arts. These classes are fun and also teach you a different way to learn.
Classes are broken down into advanced placement, honors, A track and B track. I agree and say that it should remain that way. But all of these tracks of classes need to be consistent and make sure they cover the basic skills of learning. For english classes, they need to make sure that they read a great deal of books and have quizzes and tests on it so they can keep reading and improve. Also, there should be a great deal of writing going on, including essays about the topic they are covering in class as well as occasional papers that are about a topic of their choice. When it comes to math, there are many different forms of math. You have Geometry, Algebra one and two, Pre Calculus and Calculus. I feel they should be taught in that order because it prepares you for each one so you have a good understanding of them all. For science, you can choose your own class to take just as long as you take one. The choices are: Biology, Chemistry one and two, Physics and Marine Biology. They are teaching you different things involving science, and are all a good source of knowledge.
My day to day schedule would include 8 total periods, 6 total classes and lunch and gym. You would need to take an English class, a Math class, Science class, History class, and 2 electives of your choice. You can double up on a subject including science, history and math. I would prefer if you were to add an elective to your schedule like wood shop, photography class, art or graphic arts. They are hands on and good for your education. A full day of school would need to be 6 hours. The school day would start at 7:30 for homeroom that would last ten minutes, and first period would start at 7:40 and 8th period would end at 1:40. It is similar to our old schedule of school when we were freshman, where every period was 44 minutes.
When it comes to homework, it really depends on the type of teacher teaching the class. If you give less homework, you should teach a lot more in class. If you give a lot of homework, you are looking to see what the kids can do on their own. But you need to make sure that you check to see if the students have done their homework, and go over the answer so they get and and can use it to study. This helps me the most, and I know it will help others as well. This is the curriculum I would run, and I know it will work out  to everyone's liking. Students need to be challenged to get a real good education. My curriculum will do just that.

wisdom

The only way you can get or gain wisdom is if you are a wise person. To be wise you have to live your life and experience everything naturally. If you encounter a mistake you have made, you can't brush it off you have to face it and try and change it the best way you can. You cannot learn about wisdom and say that you have it, that is morally wrong. The only way you can gain wisdom is to go through life and experience it. I believe that this is the clear definition of wisdom, and it makes the most sense.
Getting straight A's on your report card is a very successful accomplishment. It takes some time and dedication to become smart and to keep your grades up. But personally, I don't think you have wisdom by getting straight A's. You could be a person who is very smart and get grades like this, but makes many mistakes in their life. Just because you are smart, doesn't clearly mean that you are wise. Like I said earlier, to be wise and have wisdom you have to go through life and experience many different types of things and fix all of your mistakes, not just brush them off. Yes graduating with a Ph.D is a successful thing, but it doesn't define being wise. The same goes for rising quickly to the top of a great corporation. The one that I do agree with on the other hand is having a photographic memory. That is one great thing to have because you can tell people about all of your memories and teach them lessons about life. I think that doing that you become wise and you gain wisdom.
You cannot take a test for wisdom. The only way to gain wisdom is to go through life and fix your problems. I must have said this over four times already in this blog, but that is the realest answer. Being wise and having wisdom is a really great quality in my eyes. You could be best friends with someone your whole life and you can think that they are wise. But sometimes, they truly aren't wise and do not have wisdom because of the way they have handled things in their life. I think that everyone should think about wisdom when they are handling problems in their life because if wisdom is on their mind, it will make them do the right thing and make the situation a whole lot better.
Wisdom is a feature of someone that always gives them a one up on a say "un-wise" person in a time of hardship. Wisdom is something that lets someone find a way to succeed when there is no visible path to success. but i think most of all wisdom is something that lets a person be a leader, and be someone that anyone can come to to be better

Jobs

A job is one of the most important thing in a person's life. It is how you make money so you can live in the world today. I know that some jobs pay more than others, but any job you have is so important no matter what type of job it is. If you don't work, you don't make money it is that simple. Personally, I have only had one real job in my life and that was at Dunkin Donuts. Even though I only made minimum wage plus tips, making money was a good feeling. I only worked for a little less than a year, but I made a good amount of money. That helped me pay for my car, and left me with some spending money. That is always good because I didn't have to beg my parents for money.
Some jobs are much more important than others. For example, being a doctor is way more important than me working at Shop Rite. And we all know that the doctor makes much more money than me because their job is one of the top jobs out there. Even though that is the case, it doesn't mean that my job is a bad job. Im making money and taking responsibility and there is nothing wrong with that at all. But yes, I agree that some jobs are important than others because some play different roles in society.
When I think about a job, the main thing on my mind is how much the job pays. Some jobs can involve a lot of work and little pay. Other jobs can involve little work and a lot of pay. That stinks for the people who have to do so much because their reward should be higher. But it is also awesome for the people who don't have to do anything because they get paid a lot. Personally, I think you should have a job that you enjoy and you shouldn't want to dread going to work everyday.
I think the top notch jobs are the most important jobs out there. This includes a doctor, lawyer, surgeon, and much more. Even though the governor is hating on teachers, I think being a teacher is a really important job and they should make more money in my opinion. They teach kids their education, how else would kids learn without teachers? They get no respect, and it is clearly noticeable. Personally, the more important your job is, should determine how much money you make. If you work hard and put a lot into your job, you should make a lot. Money is everything in some peoples life, but sometimes people have other things ahead of money. You need money to survive and live in your home, so having any type of job is key.
Overall, any type of job you have is fine by me. As long as you are making money, there is no negative in that. I just feel that the important jobs should make more money, because some jobs can save peoples lives. To solve more problems, I think they should increase minimum wage because people who make minimum wage work their butt off, and should be making more than they are. But I think that yes, the more important jobs should make more than others. Others jobs are not bad at all trust me on that. As long as you  have a job and are making money, there is no harm in that. Just stinks that you don't make as much as you really should.

Love

Love is a pretty strong word. Being in high school, kids are always saying oh I love this person so much they mean the world to me. Let's get real here. It isn't "real love",  it's just that you really like that person and you think that you are in love. Love cannot be defined at my age right now, but maybe it can when I get older. But being in high school and being in a relationship doesn't mean you are in love. The only way you could define love now at our age is if your family is involved. That is how I look at it.
In my honest opinion, love is a feeling that you have when you just want to be surrounded by it at all times and you want nothing else but that. Yes I can say that I have felt and thought that I was in love, but I know that deep down it isn't real. I do love my family with all my heart because I know they are the only real people in my life, and will always be there for me. I have friends in my life that I do love, but it is a different kind of love. Im not saying that it is a bad thing, but it isn't the real meaning of love.
Love is a single word with many different meanings. My father once told me this and I agree with him one hundred percent. It's a word that is thrown around a lot, and I think we should be smarter and only say it when you mean it. Personally, I do not think love has a look unless you can look at the one person you truly love and say yup that is what love looks like. What love feels like is a different story. It's a feeling that makes you all happy inside and gives you butterflies at all times no matter what. It is a feeling you get where you want to have it as long as you can, and nothing is better than that feeling. What it smells like, tastes like and sounds like I really do not know.  But I know when I find my true love one day, I will have no problem answering that question.
I think that if you go out and look for love, it will be much harder to get it. I believe that true love comes to you and it finds you. That is just the way I see it. It can be hard for people to find love, but it also can be pretty easy to find it as well. You have to set your mind to love and once you have it, do whatever you can to keep it because it really is a special feeling. Yes there may be times when you want to get rid of love, but that may be for reasons that you have personally. I know that I never want to get rid of love because I want to be married one day and be in love and grow old with that special person.
Overall, love is something that everyone wants one day in there life. You can't find love at a young age unless you are willing to keep that love forever. You see people who are married and say yes we were high school sweethearts. Now god bless them. There is nothing sweeter than love found in high school, but I find it to be rare. The people you can love for all your life is your family. So be careful with love because it can back fire on you, and just remember who will always love you at the end of the day.

Risks

When you are a kid, one thing that might be on your agenda is to take risks. Along with myself, my friends like to take risks because it is just something that you need to accomplish in your life. There can be many types of situations that involve taking risks, but that is perfectly fine. You just need to be careful and not get yourself hurt while you are taking these risks. Some people are defined as the risk takers and they love to do it all the time. There are also the people who want to take risks, but are too scared that they will get caught.
In my life, I have taken many risks. Most of them I have come out alive and didn't get caught. There are also times where I have taken risks and got caught and was embarrassed that it happened. I have an advantage when I am taking risks, I do not know what that advantage is, but I have succeeded more times than I have failed. I am not the type of person who takes risks every single day, but I put a of thought in when I plan to take a risk.
I wouldn't say that the risks I take are a really big risk, but they aren't too bad. The risk I take the most is leaving track practice early everyday so I can go to the gym and lift, rather than lift in our schools' weigh room where it is jammed pack with kids. My coach tells me everyday that he wants me to lift here at the school, but I take the risk to leave and go to the gym, trying to escape my coach from seeing me leave. I have never got caught yet, but I know that I need to be careful because I do not want to be too confident because I will let my guard down.
Other risks I take are texting in class, copying off of a friend during a test or quiz, driving with too many friends in the car, drinking when I am underage, lying to my friends about something I have done, lying to my parents and much more. Like I said before, most times I am successful when I take risks. But there are times where I do get myself caught and I am embarrassed when it happens. I would say that the risk I take the most where I do get caught is texting in class. I have to be sneaky with it and yes I do succeed sometimes, but I am usually not surprised when I am getting yelled at for texting.
I also get caught when I lie to my parents or lie to my friends. When I lie to my friends, it isn't something big but they usually catch me because they know me so well and know how I act. I think it is a big concern when I lie to my parents because they can do the most damage to me. They can prevent me from going out with my friends, they can take my car away, they can basically take away all of my freedom. I tend to lean away from lying to my parents, but there has been times where I have lied and took risks, and didn't get caught.
Overall, taking risks is something that I have done numerous times in my life. I have been more successful in accomplishing it than getting caught, but the consequences when getting caught sucks. I know that I have to be careful and think before I actually do it. I am still young, but doing it when you are young won't hurt you as much when you do it at an older age. You only live once, but don't let your guard down.

my state of the union address

America never really had a stable time period through out its history. It is really impossible for America or really any other country to not have problems or be perfect. I have never once in my life watched the state of the union address so I will try my best to make it sound real.
Things in this country, in my opinion have been the same for many years. To make changes for this country is a tough thing to do. To make changes that will benefit this country is extremely hard to do. One of the biggest problems we have today in our country is unemployment. It is at the highest it has ever been in our country. And it is not an easy thing to deal with. Providing jobs for everyone is hard. The only thing we can really do is just hope and believe that it will  get better. And if we try it might get a lot better for us. The only other thing I would suggest for unemployed people is maybe join the army or something. It is an easy way to get a job. Eduction may be the biggest problem we actually have. The kids of this country are our future and it seems each year our test numbers drop and our kids get dumber. Other countries our easily dominating us in the education race and we are continuing to fall behind them. We need to get these kids back on track and up to the reading level they are supposed to be it. If we continue to fall behind then we will soon behind many countries technologically.

The environment is continuing to create a big stir through out our country as well. Many people are very worried about global warming and I understand because of how the weather has been lately. I think it very well could be true and is a serious problem to think about. In order to do something about it we need to make sure that we stop polluting the earth. If we don't stop soon then are earth can very well be destroyed. And driving all these big cars which have huge gas tanks and use so much gas to pollute it. People really need to start thinking better about the environment instead of themselves.
This country is way to great to be as unsuccessful as we are. We have so many problems which can fix easily. All we have to do is fix all of the little things and we should have no problem bringing this country back to what it used to be. America is considered a world power because of status with war and we beat other countries in them. But in other ways we are not a world power. There are so many other countries which have so many edges over us like education, and technologically. If we want to be like we once need to be we need to start with the little things and slowly we will become like we once were.
